Voltron Defender of The Universe was based from a Japanese Anime series Golion and Dairugger XV. It was focused on five lion robots in five different colors. Voltron was created by a scientist from planet Aurus for their defense but Evil Zarkon and witch Haggar defeated it and cursed the robot to split into five lion-shaped robots and being hibernated. In the 25th century, space explorer discovers the sleeping lion robots, the Galaxy Alliance decided to train 5 pilots to be able to use the five lion robots against Zarkon who establishes his reign in the galaxy.
